HOW TO MEASURE

HOW TO MEASURE FOR A DOOR
STEP 1 — MEASURE THE WIDTH
Measure the brick-to-brick opening at the top, middle, and bottom. Use the smallest measurement.
STEP 2 — MEASURE THE HEIGHT
Measure from the threshold (floor) to the underside of the lintel. Measure left, centre, and right. Use the smallest measurement.
STEP 3 — CHECK THE OPENING DIRECTION
Stand outside. Hinges on the left = left-hand opening. Hinges on the right = right-hand opening.
STEP 4 — DOUBLE CHECK
Measure twice before ordering.
Every item is different (second-hand, mis-measured or cancelled orders) — so confirming measurements before reserving is important.
HOW TO MEASURE FOR A WINDOW
STEP 1 — MEASURE THE WIDTH
Measure brick-to-brick at the top, middle, and bottom. Use the smallest measurement.
STEP 2 — MEASURE THE HEIGHT
Measure from the bottom of the opening to the top brickwork. Measure left, centre, and right. Use the smallest measurement.
STEP 3 — ALLOW A FITTING GAP
Allow around 10–15mm clearance for fitting (if needed). If unsure, ask us before reserving.
